Preity is the next celeb to delve into the businee of fine jewellery and at the opening of the store was seen in a black anarkali from Iqbal Hussain paired with polki jewellery from the line.
She probably wanted to dress up but the anarkali here was distracting from all the jewellery. The necklaces also didn’t quite work with that neckline. She should’ve just picked a simpler outfit to let the jewellery shine.

It’s not a comment on her, per se, but when film stars who haven’t showcased ANY interest in a topic, open up businesses related to topic, I cant help but see it as blatant monetization of their popularity. I get that’s how it works but it just shrinks their star value in my eyes. Hrithik Roshan’s HRX – totally acceptable. Virat’s restaurant – same as Priety’s high jewelry line. I pity people with actual talent and passion for jewelry but don’t have the contacts to launch their own lines.
They’re selling their name. The product is incidental.

I can’t imagine anyone foolishly lining up outside the jewelry store to buy because she is wearing it or she is selling it.
Preity is cashing in on her mediocre long forgotten career. If HHC didn’t feature her no one would care for her. I don’t think millions of Indians are lining up outside the jewelry store because of this “look”.
Preity still owns Punjab Kings IPL and gets a lot of footage by being on the sidelines during all the games. The team also has been doing pretty well. Reminder, one doesn’t just have to be doing movies to be relevant anymore in this day and age. Hence also why you see everyone delving into different lines of income creation.
