Red Hot?

At a recent Film Festival’s closing night, we spotted Ms. Zinta in a red outfit that she paired with gold accessories, including a seemingly vintage gold Chanel bag.

We loved this look on her, you?

Update: The outfit isn’t by Manish Malhotra like we thought. It’s by Ensemble Design Studio.

  1. What happened to the make up and hair?
And one would think she would know better than to stick to MM for all ethnic requirements? Honestly?… sigh

  2. yep! this is a welcome change from PZ who we usually see in western gear all the time. she carries western apparel better than most Bolly stars but it’s refreshing to see her in this trad avatar as well. not liking the bag but nice shoes.

  3. I love the jewel details around the ankles. This style of the shirt would make anyone look pregnant and oh my, it looks like she is packing quite a few pounds in the third picture.

  4. I don’t like the gold chanel bag with this. It makes an otherwise elegant outfit (an otherwise elegant MANISH MALHOTRA outfit) look tacky…that’s a weird thing to say about Chanel, but there, I said it!

I would have preferred a clutch, in a contrasting dark color, maybe black or navy.

  5. I posted a reply here before and it’s not here anymore:

I don’t like the bag, but the outfit itself is very elegant. The bag doesn’t go with the traditional style of the dress. I know it’s not common to call Chanel bags tacky, but in this isolated instance, I think it is. (I said it!) I would have preferred a contrasting clutch instead, maybe sparkly black or navy, just to mix it up.

  6. While the colour looks great on Preity, the fit is another story. I feel that angarakhas should cover the cleavage by pulling the brocade higher on the chest. The hair is not the best as well. She seldom wears kurtas, I wonder why would she choose Manish Malhotra? Also, the chanel bag, in my humble opinion, isn’t going great here! But inspite of all this I must say she carrys off the colour really well.

  7. I am a huge fan of anything red, so I would say the kaftan like dress is OK, she looks fine. I love her chanel bag, but a clutch would have looked better. unless she is acting in veer zara 2, she should get a hair cut.

  8. Its on Okey Dokey outfit-the fit and length is all wrong on her.. But she is looking nice-take a bow!! The Chanel bag is totally wrong for this dress. Her hair is looking ‘off’

  9. kurta is gorgeous. it doesn’t suit preity though and she looks swamped by it. it would look good on a very tall person such as tabu or katrina.

  11. Red definitely suits her but it seems she is falling down in this big baagy curtain-dress.Little shorter length would have been better.
Plus this much length where you cant see the churidar and designer payal (or may be its design on churidar) doest make sense.

  13. Sad to see incorrect credits. This suit is not by Manish, it is by Ensemble Design Studio and still being sold at Ensemble. Apart from no where being close to Manish’s style, the suit is elegant and classy, unlike his clothes!
