For Salman’s charity, ‘Being Human’, the celebrities were out in droves showing their support both on and off the runway.
Each actress walked the runway representing one particular decade, starting right from the Twenties. And speaking of Twenties, it was Preity Zinta who walked in a look from her movie Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Following which, Katrina did the Thirties in a Gauri and Nainika dress and Rani Mukherjee the Forties in a Manish Malhotra lehenga.
Bipasha walked in a Sunaina Puri dress representing the Fifties and Karisma did the Sixties in a Manish Malhotra sari. Anyone else have a Zubeida flashback looking at Ms. Kapoor? 🙂 Sushmita did the flamboyant Seventies in Raakesh Agarvwal and the Eighties were all Priyanka’s channeling Madonna in a Sunaina Puri design. And finally, it was Kareena Kapoor for the Nineties who walked in Varun Bahl and mapxencaRS to INXS‘s Need You Tonight complete with a hat and whip..

I believe Priyanka represented the 80s not the 90s, and she sooo rocked the look!!! Preity looked like the flamboyant 20s girl, and Karishma the perfect 60s yester-year actress!!! Kareena and Bipasha also fitted their parts, but I wish Kareena wore something else witht he favor of the 90s…nonetheless these 5 ladies looked gorgeous!!!

liked all except 80’s & 90’s. they do not look much 80’s or 90’s to me while the other dresses are giving the vibe of the decade they are representing mainly karishma’s and sush.

LOL, Preity sported this look in one of her songs in Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
Rani had this look in Saawariya, and Karishma had this look in Biwi Number 1. They all starred with Salman Khan in those movies!

Other than Bipasha and maybe Sushmita, I think the actresses don’t quite pull it off here (solely in terms of modeling the clothing). Bips looks fierce and I love the confidence Sush exudes. Priyanka looks her ‘try-hard’ self, Preity and Rani are mostly lost in clothing. Katrina looks like the ultimate wallflower and Kareena’s pout ruins what is otherwise an amazing pose.
Karishma is in between. She looks and acts the part of the 60s but the pink color against her skin and the lighting wash her out.
totally agree! and the hairstyles does not represent the respective decades. waves on top of head in twenties, sleek straight with middle parting in 70’s, extra volume for 80’s, a sleek bob for 50’s would have suited much more.
This is just a flop for me.

iam all for charity and i tremendously appreciate this effort but its really sad that at the same time of the year when Paris Fashion week is coming to a close, we have whatever thats been happening in the past few days under the name of couture week, which again sadly, is one of the umpteen half baked fashion weeks that have cropped up all over the country..
I wish bollywood and its people would leave Indian Fashion alone and vice versa. Period.

I love the 30’s look (is it really the 30’s?) purely bcoz of the lady…Kat – how statuesque does she look! She has the style and look to carry such a strong color.
Also the 50’s look by Bips – she nails the runway pout, what confidence!

can someone please explain to me how does kareena look 90s??? besides she looks terrible..the worst of them all. Priyanka does not look 80s to me..she looks like she went into naughty but nice ($ex shop) and wore the mannequins clothes. sush looks great. Karishma looks awesome!!! she stole the show for me. She’s just so much better than kareena..its a shame that she took early retirement. Bips looks the great. rani and katrina meh! and preity looked awesome
Is the styling correct with respect to the decade they represent ? …. I am not too sure … something seems off …. anyone has any knowledge about retro fashion because mine is sadly lacking ….. Though to my ignorant self the dresses and decades do not match ….

Forget about the stars for a sec, shall we? The entire show looked to be SO cheap and horrendous!!! I mean, is that a 20’s outfit? Really? It looks like some half baked fashion research by a first year student with a bad library or no internet. That would’ve earned me a fail at design school for sure- and I wasn’t even a fashion student. The clothes, accessories, hair, everything… yuk.
On the good side, the only one fitting the bill was Karisma Kapoor, and that was probably due to her doing Zubeidaa.
Kareena rocks in black jacket….she is looking stunning stunning stunning…!
