In the past, we’ve seen ladies (Madhuri and Aishwarya) don some OTT saris to the Padma Shri awards and we haven’t been fans. But, they were winners. Kareena, on the other hand, coordinated with Saif’s white sherwani by wearing a white Manish Malhotra and for a guest was dressed just right.

The outfit was formal but not outlandish and a good choice because it didn’t take attention away from Saif. Because, after all, it was Saif’s moment.

Designer Gaurav Gupta may be trying to get plaid back in groove for Autumn (his recent collection had lots of it) but looks like these ladies are beating him to the punch. Question though is whether they do a good job of it?

Of the three, Ravee’s dress was the best but shoes were a massive FAIL. Dig any? Or none?

Vogue had her for their 2nd anniversary issue and Hello now puts Aishwarya on their 3rd anniversary issue in a Bottega Veneta gown. No brainer, she looks gorgeous but seeing her is making me look forward to Cannes. The festival and editorials seems like the only time we see her in gowns these days. No?

As lovely as Ms. Kaif looks, I absolutely hate the pairing of that blouse with the sari. It’s neither eclectic/kitschy, nor is it a well thought out contrast… all it is, is a contrast for the sake of contrast. Argh. Complete downer.

Sari itself is nice and can’t fault Katrina neck up but that blouse gets my goat.
