In Shantanu and Nikhil

In the gown version (seen in a white on Kareena and a black on Dia), this design looked so much better or maybe it was the picture (Kareena’s) but in the dress version, it is such a disaster. Apart from the color there is nothing going right for it from the oddly placed diagonal ruffle to the asymmetrical hemline.

‘Skirt’ing Issues

We aren’t sure if Ms. Kaif swapped out her skirt before or after but we know for sure she didn’t wear the satin one (on the right) to the press meet and thank goodness she didn’t. The look was so average already (with the hair and the odd cutout ruffle blouse and those flats), that skirt would’ve just added to it’s woes. But, then considering she got photographed with the skirt, guess, we’ve don’t have to wonder how bad that look could’ve been.

In Sabyasachi. Again.

No surprises here, it’s Vidya Balan in a Sabyasachi outfit again, this time opting for an anarkali over a sari.

I love black and gold, and I absolutely love this simple and elegant anarkali (which we’ve seen on Vidya before) but I sooo wish Ms. Balan hadn’t looked quite so drab in it. Sure, every actress/celebrity needs her downtime and as much as I want to give Vidya props for wearing her clothes with a certain nonchalance, I do wish she’d put a teeny bit more effort in it.

Won’t she just indulge us one of these days?

Belting It Out

We are die-hard aficionados of Chanel but a tacky belt on a certain Ms. Sen has put a bad taste in our mouth when it comes to wearing Chanel belts well.

When it comes to logo-flaunting (or spell-it-out letters), we prefer a minimalist approach and so you’ve probably guessed by now that the only one out of the three we prefer is Jacqueline.

P.S. We wonder if going with a very simple outfit after her ramp walk in an OTT lehenga was a concious decision on Jacqueline’s part. 😛 (Jacqueline attended the Phadnis show after the Riyaz Gangji event)

In Kay Unger

I am not a fan of snake-print on dresses but that doesn’t mean I hate this Kay Unger on Gayatri. I think she still looks great but I would have preferred a solid clutch with the ensemble. A pure black clutch would’ve offset the snake-print better and also not felt like too match-y as the current one feels like with the jewelled sandals.
