Upgrade

It was an upgrade for Padma who attended the Blossom Ball in a pink gown with a jewelled shoulder detail. Upgrade, the look might have been but do I love it? Not quite. The shimmer effect makes the gown feel like a prom dress. Now, if this came in a jersey version, I’d wear in a heartbeat.

In Dolce And Gabbana

Looking goood at the AMFAR Gala was Mallika Sherawat in a Dolce and Gabbana dress. So chic. We like.

From Bad To Worse

The puffiness and ruching might have gone shorter and less voluminous but the unsightliness only went from bad to worse. Bye-bye community school dance coach, hello bunny on a break.

Update: The left dress is a Gustavo Cadille also seen on Carla Gugino. Thanks ‘Protyasha’.

Gentlemen Only

It was a men-only night at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. Vikramaditya Motwane walked the premiere of ‘My Joy’ with the actors from his movie ‘Udaan’ (the only Indian movie showing at the festival).

Even though Vikramaditya and Ronit are wearing different velvet bandhgalas, because they both paired it with white undershirts and black pants, they come off looking alike (Although, I prefer Ronit more.)

Ditto!

In Sagarika’s case, we couldn’t see this scarf-style Babita Malkani dress very well back in Dec because she was stuck at the hips with Vidya Malwade. But, having seen it now on choreographer Pony (yep, that is her name) Verma, the asymmetrical hemline isn’t so bad.

With wedges, the dress would work for a good summer look. Of course, Pony shows us how you can kill a look instantly. Those gladiator black sandals clash badly with the dress.
