After spending a very busy week at Cannes, Ms. Rai was back in Mumbai shooting for an ad wearing the same Mango dress that we first saw on Shruti, then Kajal and finally on Shahana. Considering the color, am gonna guess the shoot is for L’Oreal.

In Target: Cheap And Chic

Let’s face it, not everyone can afford the $$$$$ Balmain jackets, and so thank God for Target who introduced a cheaper version! It did come as a surprise though to have spotted Sonam sporting it or something that remarkably looks like the Target Go International bandleader vest and, if that is what she is wearing, then yayy… she (or her stylist) shops at Target. 😀

Kim Kardashian too was spotted in the very vest but gotta say, Sonam wore it better. Hands-down. It would’ve been even better had she (Sonam) opted for a sleeveless tee/tank but as it stands, she totally works the look.

Per Sonam’s tweet: She says the vest is from Intermix, but considering Intermix sells different brands, we wonder if they also scooped up the Go International vest like Target.

Many of you may already know this but for those who don’t, the upcoming Mani Ratnam movie ‘Raavan’ was also shot in Tamil simulataneously and at the first look event held in Chennai, South actress Priyamani shared emcee duties. She wore a black printed Sabyasachi sari with a mustard pattern border. Love the sari, of course, but am not a big fan of the matching maroon glass bangles. It is also so nice to see her wear mogra (jasmine flowers) in her hair. We rarely see it these days.

Luck By Chance actress and dancer Isha Sharvani graces the May cover of Verve India wearing a green Neeta Lulla gown. Not digging the hair or the gown but it’s refreshing to see her after what’s been a loooong while.

A Shoe Story

I don’t mind a good pair of cuff sandals (say the ones we recently saw on Anushka Sharma) but these two remind me how when worn wrongly or when wearing a wrong pair, the look can come off bad. I quite like Anushka’s sandals (with an edgy dress I’d love em) but I abhor that she paired those stark black ones with a pink dress. Not working.

Nauheed fares a tad bit better (compared with Anushka that is) because she’s got her color scheme right but the frayed edges in addition to the cuff detail were one-detail too many for me. And that is excluding the flower on the head. 😛
