Travel(v)ogue

Someone pinch me and pinch me hard because I am finding it so hard to believe that this is the same lady who gave us a rather OTT look just the other night at the IIFAs. Am so in lurrve with this look of Bipasha’s. The jumpsuit itself is such a relaxed one yet the whole look is made interesting with the gladiators and the hot pink bangle.

Did I mention I love it.

Floral Fix

Ms. Dhupia sure is a busy lady. After attending the IIFA Awards in Colombo on Saturday, she was back in Mumbai on Sunday attending the launch of the new movie ‘Dear Friend Hitler’ in an animal and floral print dress (Falguni and Shane Peacock?) enhancing the look with a red flower in her hair. It may seem exaggerated to some but I, for one, quite loved it. You?

In Alexander McQueen

Malaika paid tribute to late designer Alexander McQueen by wearing a gown from his Fall 2007 collection. If the gown looks familiar it is because it was first featured in Vogue India worn by Gauri Khan, who also wore it in a maroon version at the launch of Lap (see here).

Am really surprised there are no full-lengths anywhere of Malaika.

In Manav Gangwani

Am on the fence about Kangana’s look in this Manav Gangwani green gown. The empire-waist makes her look tall and statuesque but in the close-up pic, her makeup and hair looks so worn out. Blame it on the weather?

P.S. Those earrings look lovely which makes me wish all the more that she had pulled back the hair.

Well Suited?

Can’t say there was a clear winner among men on this green carpet but there were definitely two very clear losers.

We love that Salman always adds a ‘Being Human’ element to his attire (this time it was a tie) but who can see the tie when they are distracted by that odd blue shirt with the black collar. Saif tried to make his very casual outfit formal by adding the pin-stripe blazer but my reaction is “why bother”. The blazer clashes so much with the v-neck.

Hrithik repeated his Kites London premiere three-piece suit but thankfully didn’t wear the NY premiere mini-tie. 😛 Vivek was quite an upgrade from last year, but my vote has to go to Anil in his two-piece. What IS his secret???
