It was grey and black dresses for both Tisca and Isha who attended designer Anita Dongre’s show on day one of LFW’s Festive Season.

Grey and black, for me, is a boring combination and I find it very dull. And, even though I prefer the lace detail (it provides some visual interest) on Tisca, the off-centre belt kills it for me. Isha keeps it simple, perhaps much too simple but I’ll pick her over Tisca.

NYFW Spring 2011: Bibhu Mohapatra

More power to the Indian designers; may their tribe grow! 🙂

Bibhu’s recently shown collection was beautiful, feminine and essentially for that girly-girl.

After working with Halston and J.Mendel, Bibhu Mohapatra started working on his own label creating custom couture evening gowns and cocktail dresses for select clientele. The F.I.T graduate has since established his own label and this was his second showing.

Evening-wear and cocktail dresses dominated the collection and my absolute favorite was the blue-and-black tulle gown (first row, extreme right). Can’t wait to spot it on a red carpet!

After wearing Kallol Datta to New York Fashion Week, Ms. Mallis chose another dress fresh off of the designer’s latest collection, this time to wear to the opening night of LFW.

His showing was one of our favorites last time around and can’t wait to see what he does this time.

On an aside, we wonder how long before Kallol gets his own show at NYFW, what with Fern sporting his clothes so-very-often! 😉

Sabina clearly liked what she saw the last time!

After wearing a Chris Kane Fall 09 dress on the final day of last LFW, she chose a Spring 2010 dress to wear to the opening night. We like.

I loved this dress on Ms. Chopra. My only beef would be with her choice of footwear but, considering how great the dress looks on her, that’s forgiven!

Actually wait, the shoes are killing me.

P.S: Yes, the mogra is back!

LFW is upon us! 🙂

Nisha Jhaveri attended the Narendra Kumar Ahmed show (and the opening party) in a green Roberto Cavalli dress. I like the dress, but how, oh how I dislike those shoes. Completely overwhelms and kills the look for me!
