Grey Matter

First, let’s take a moment to drool over the lusciousness that is the grey Chanel jumbo flap. Okay? Okay.

I liked this look on Amrita… it was caszh without being sloppy and, being in love with all things grey and purple, me likey. I’d change the shoes, but hardly a deal-breaker here. Have to also add, the pony looks so much cuter over the open hair.

In Mandira Wirk

Yellow is Malaika’s color! Always looks so goood on her. As for the dress itself (a Mandira Wirk), am not too fond of it. Have never been a fan of these part-draped-part-ruched dresses!

Malaika completed her look by pairing the dress with some Loubs and a BV Knot. You like?

On The Ramp

Closing out the final day of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour were Sameera Reddy (for Neeta Lulla) and Sushmita Sen (for Vikram Phadnis).

Sameera wore a fusion ensemble featuring a waistcoat with chain-embellished back and a sequin train attached to the vest with black pants. Am all about the showstopper outfit being a lil’ out there and this surely fits the billing but let’s hope someone doesn’t decide to wear this in real life just because it was shown on the runway. 😛 (Remember Genelia?)

After seeing Perizaad look beautiful in a Phadnis lehenga, the gown on Sushmita just feels so disconnected, especially considering the rest of the collection was so traditional. Add to that, the belt (Sushmita’s own). Sitting higher than the natural hipline of the gown, it didn’t quite break up the gown like it was meant to.

In Twos

Let’s face it, as lovely as Gul is, she definitely has more misses than hits. I so wish she’d give up on those tween tees already! Having said that, I do have to admit, it was a major upgrade at a recent fashion show where she made an appearance in a printed dress.

Though an overwhelming print. Gul wore the dress quite well. My only gripe… Those shoes! Pumps/peep-toe pumps would’ve made world of a difference! And then we finally would’ve had a hit on our hands. A close Almost this one.

Gowning Glory

It was gowns-with-thigh-high-slits for these two ladies but ones that were worn to very, very different results. While I loved the color on Aditi, the gown itself just didn’t quite work. The silhouette’s not the most flattering that I’ve seen on her and the chain belt is just so tackayyy here! In this match-up, Mandira unequivocally gets my vote. The color, the silhouette, it all works on her!

Agree?
