In Gucci

While, we didn’t particularly like the styling of the McQueen on Natasha that she sported Sat night, can’t fault anything with her look from Sun at the races. (Ok, maybe the streaks.)

What a difference the sheath silhouette and the booties (Choo Quinze) make. She looks like she dropped ten lbs overnight. I only say that because the python boots from the night before made her look stocky.

The Churidaar Ladies

Am almost certain I will be skewered for admitting ( 😛 ) to liking Amrita’s velvet anarkali. My reasoning behind it is that most of the velvet creations we’ve seen is created with clashing colors and patterns and in Amrita’s case the monochromatic doesn’t look as much of an eye-sore. Oh well, might just be me.

White is a look that always looks great on Karisma and this one was no different. The one that I liked the least was Sophie. With the kurta so bright, a more toned down color for the churidaars might have been the way to go.

Shades Of Red

I may be in the minority (maybe even the only one) but I am loving the satin red sari on Laila. Having seen Laila sport odd bustier looks almost all the time, this one was so different coming from her. Now, if only that blouse was less bustier-ish and more the regular style and the whole look would’ve been a Fab for me. This one is an Almost.

As for Maheep and Mandira, they sport the usual fare that we are so used to seeing that it doesn’t quite excite anymore.

Who is your favorite?

P.S. Mandira is in Ritu Kumar.

Changing It Up

Always one to be spotted in anarkalis mostly, Raveena changed it up by donning a sari (Anita Dongre Timeless?) to Sameer Soni/Neelam’s wedding. It was nice to see her go a step further with the Gujarati style drape but the sari was so heavy, it didn’t quite sit right.

Doing Floral

Not a fan of floral net saris in the first place but between the two I have to say much preferred Seema. Sonali’s saris almost felt like a vine trellis with worms creeping up to the flowers. (Harsh, but that is the first thing that came to mind!)

Who do you prefer?
