New York Fashion Week is underway and we’ve already had an Indian designer sighting. E! Network correspondent Amanda Garrigus was spotted in a Falguni and Shane Peacock dress at Bloomingdale’s Mad About Fashion Event. Compared to their other designs, I found this rather toned down.

How long before we see the Peacocks having their own show at MBNYFW? Well, fingers crossed when they do, we get invites! 😉

When I was extolling the virtues of a nice silk button-down shirt, this look wasn’t what I had in mind.

A recent event found Ms. Mukherjee pair grey pinstripe trousers with a silk shirt, a grey vest, Chanel beads and black pumps. Doesn’t do much for her; not a fan. Besides aging her, also cuts her off lengthwise. Neck up, no complaints… This one’s a Not Quite.

The beginning of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week is marked by the Heart Truth’s red collection fashion show where celebrities walk in red gowns to raise awareness about heart disease in women.

This year, Archie Panjabi took to the stage in a red J Mendel chiffon gown and Taraji in a shimmery sexy Naeem Khan one.

Ones to normally pick decent stuff, Raageshwari (in that floral satin corset gown) and Deepika in the Just Cavalli dress had us scratching our heads. Talk about visual assault!

Question is, who do you think fares worse? We are leaning towards Deepika.

Umang who will make her debut in Love Breakups Zindagi was spotted at the launch event in a Soup by Sougat Paul dress. The dress was young and fresh and even though we aren’t fans of the ribbon tie shoes, on Umang, they worked adding a girly vibe to the look.
