Lakme Fashion Week may have just concluded, but the Couture Week is only beginning. Below is your look at designer Varun Bahl’s collection.

Titled ‘India, Nouveau’, his latest presentation played off traditional silhouettes with modern sensibilities. With the sheer bodices often providing a more balanced counterpoint to the heavier fabrics and or detailing made this collection a lot fresher and dare we add, even restrained when compared to his previous Couture offering. The underlying sense of sombre sensuality was hard to miss with this collection.

Taking inspiration from the Ottoman Empire, JJ Valaya’s couture collection ‘Azrak’ was luxurious, royal and grand. Not that we’re surprised. Mr Valaya delivers every single time!

It’s a surprise that Ms. Chawla wore this Dior dress so soon after Sonam. Having said that, got a preference between the two considering they styled the dress similarly?

On day two, Narmada Ahuja sure surprised us in her appearance in Huemn by Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shetty. This was quite a departure from what we’ve seen Narmada do and we must add, a very welcome change.

She was styled by Sabina Halder.
