In Mara Hoffman

At the Fashion Week, spotted Delna in a Mara Hoffman top one which she paired with waxed denims, a cross-body bag and peep-toe booties. Though she wears the top well, wish she had picked shoes that didn’t blend into her denims like so. Different hair do would’ve helped elevate this look as well.

In Mary Katrantzou

Our excitement of seeing a Mary Katrantzou at Fashion Week was quickly doused when we saw how it was styled. The BV knot worked well but why pair those sandals with that dress. Don’t get us started on the payot-ish hair!

In Twos

These two ladies were spotted in silk dotted dresses (Poorna being in Deepika Govind and Richa in Sanchita) in opposite color schemes. Got a favorite? While neither rocked the boat in styling, Poorna edged out Richa by a tiny margin by opting for bare lips.

LFW Winter/Festive 2012: Swapnil Shinde

Like with his previous collection, Swapnil Shinde continues to flirt with futuristic accents and design with his latest too. Cinched waists accented with metallic belts were a recurring theme. The pleated gowns (third row, first two from the left) stood out!

LFW Winter/Festive 2012: Shivan & Narresh

At the ongoing Fashion Week, designer duo Shivan and Narresh presented their Resort 12-13 line titled ‘Equus’. And like the name suggests, the theme was continually referenced. Braided detail referencing a horse’s mane, a geometric zebra print providing respite to a monochromatic look, colors mimicking the mammals’ skin sheen and tassels like those used on Royal horses all were there.

Shivan and Narresh have made a name for themselves in the Resort-wear world and understandably so. The lines are clean and the silhouettes, non-fussy. And while they continue to stick to color-blocking and a geometric sense of aesthetic, it doesn’t really feel tired or old. Loved the sari and the charcoal-grey dress. The absolute favorite though was the chartreuse and black dress (third row, extreme right) which we are bound to see off-the-runway, and soon.
