In Givenchy

Ms. Chawla went all-black in a Givenchy ruffle dress on day five of Delhi Couture week paired with satin pumps and a Dior clutch.

If the dress looks familiar, it’s cuz we just saw a variation of it on Michelle here.

Kalyani, as usual, looked great. Does she ever have a bad day?

PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2012: Manish Malhotra

Designer Manish Malhotra presented what he does best, bridal wear. While the outfits themselves were pretty, it wasn’t something we haven’t seen before.

In Mason by Michelle Mason

While the Michelle Mason dress works on Shweta, her make-up lets her down. That shade of lip-color just didn’t work with the dress. In a perfect world, shoes would’ve been different too. Even a nude (of the blush-pink undertone kind) though safe would’ve worked better with the dress than those tan ones!

This one was a ‘Not Quite‘ for us!

In Gucci

Wearing a Gucci dress, Sussanne unveiled the September issue of L’Officiel India during Delhi Couture Week.

The proportions of the whole look don’t seem to be doing much for her. Between the midi skirt and ankle-straps, it seemed too, for lack of a better word, choppy.

Same ol’, same ol’ hair completed her look.

Delhi Couture Week 2012: Manish Arora

This may rub the fashion folks the wrong way but here’s what we thought of Mr. Arora’s presentation: A bummer. Had the show been billed as a ‘retrospective’, you wouldn’t have heard a pip from us. But considering that wasn’t the case (either that or we missed the memo, and in which case we apologize), showing pieces from his previous collections felt bit of a let-down. Especially to fans (no really, long-time fans) like us who longed to see something new. No doubt, those in attendance really enjoyed the craftsmanship and sheer genius up close… But for us voyeurs, felt bit of a cop out.

Just us?
