Seeing Red

If you were wondering why Rani was absent at the Sabyasachi’s show, it is because she is currently in New York and will be the Grand Marshal at the India Day Parade happening this weekend.

The actress still represented her loyalty by picking a red Sabyasachi maxi to wear to this event. Unfortunately too much bronzer use is killing this look for me. You like?

In Lanvin

We don’t have full-lengths yet, but here is a first look at Ms. Kapoor looking fantastic in a cream one-shouldered Lanvin at an event in Delhi. Love the earrings!

In Kallol Datta

Ms. Mohapatra paired a Kallol Datta suicide series print sari (the print is one of our absolute favorites!) with a dress/tunic also from the designer. You like?

In Alice+Olivia

At the ongoing Fashion Week we spotted Haseena keeping it simple in a cheery yellow Alice+Olivia maxi dress. We loved it!

LFW Winter/Festive 2011: Sabyasachi

If you’re following us on Twitter, you already know how much of a dillemma we are in! Buy gold or buy a Sabyasachi? Until mommy dearest knocks us in our head, we’re putting away money in the bank to buy the latter for now. 😛

He made us fall in love with velvet and we didn’t even think that was possible. How delish are those velvet saris. Sigh.

We do have a complain though! It was bad enough that we were saving up to buy for ourselves. Now, we have to add a fund for the better halves and the children too! We are going to be broke pretty soon!

P.S. We love love love a Sabya show. It is not a catwalk. It is a theatrical presentation. Models don’t strut. They walk slowly and let you take in slowly the gorgeous creations as they walk by because you need that extra moment after being taken aback by the sheer beauty at the first sight! Catch the video at Lakme Fashion Week TV here!
