Lakshmi, who attended Roshni Chopra’s debut collection preview this week, seems to have liked the kalamkari patchwork striped skirt so much so that she sported it right away at the press meet of her Tamil movie ‘Aranmanai’.

Wearing the skirt with a black top, she finished out the look with a sea shell floral necklace. I already mentioned I wasn’t a fan of the stripes/print skirt and in this case I don’t even like the necklace but Lakshmi still manages to sell me the look. Minus the necklace, weirdly I find myself liking the look on her.

P.S. Can someone let me know if she goes by ‘Raai Laxmi’ or ‘Lakshmi Rai’. Am a bit confused.

Esha visited the pink city of Jaipur for the launch of a store but instead of a lot of pink gave us just a hint of it. Going for a royal look, she wore a Neeta Lulla khadi jacket with Anita Dongre dhoti pants and jewellery from MBJ finishing out the look.

The only thing I don’t like about the look are the Charles & Keith glittery sandals. The outfit begged for something more earthy like a kolhapuri or jootis. And given that Ms. Gupta is already so tall, a few inches off wouldn’t really have mattered. 😛

Parul attended the Santosham Awards wearing a light sea foam colored Tarun Tahiliani lehenga with jewellery by Gehna. While she started the evening with an updo, at the event she was seen with her hair down.

Samantha attended the Santosham Awards on Saturday night in Sashikant Naidu wearing the kalamkari sari with Suhani Pittie earrings and palm cuff.

My only gripe here is the puffed blouses (just never been a fan of them) but other than that she looked great.

We love festival season because you get to see stars in their traditional avatars. Giving us one today was Sonali wearing a blue and red handwoven sari and looking absolutely gorgeous in it. It’s a bummer we don’t see them do such traditional looks more often.
