Akshara, who makes her debut in Shamitabh, attended the trailer launch wearing a Bebe mesh dress with t-strap sandals. As gorgeous as she looked neck up, I really hope this look was more of an in-character one. If not, am rather disappointed at this seen-on-everyone-at-every-club look. It just doesn’t feel her.

Here’s hoping we see more of her inherent style in the coming weeks.

Lisa attended the Lion Gold Awards wearing a Tarun Tahiliani look that consisted of a velvet top, draped skirt and an embroidered corset-style belt.

Ms. always-in-black Haydon did wear the separates look well but I did feel underwhelmed. Bring on some color, we say!

Mannara, who won best debutante at the Lion Awards, walked the red carpet wearing a Roshni Chopra striped skirt as a lehenga paired with a gold choli and black dupatta. Where this look fails for me is with the top. Just hated it.

Much preferred Lakshmi, who wore the same skirt more casually to a better result. Relatively speaking.

In Selvage

Tara was photographed at a recent event wearing Selvage separates. Side-swept hair, bright lip, jewelry from Koovs and tan peep-toe pumps finished out her look.

The tan pumps didn’t quite work with rest of the look. Black, though safe would’ve been the better choice (and if feeling rather fashion forward, we’d take a pair of great white pumps). Also, while we have nothing but envy for Tara’s Rapunzel-esque glossy mane, the length and volume often works against the lovely, petite lady. Here it certainly weighed the look down!
