At SIIMA, Laxmi sported two Archana Kochhar gowns on the red carpet, one featuring a cape and the other ruffles. Now, I wouldn’t have thought I’d like an orange lip with an orange gown but I did and have to say she looked pretty good in the orange number.
As for the white look, the addition of the maang tikka made it a bit gimmicky. If she’d just skipped it, she’d have had another winner on her hands.

Nikki opted for Raakesh Agarvwal on both nights of SIIMA. Between the two gowns, much preferred her in the pink one. While she got the styling right with the gold gown, she just wasn’t able to sell the look to me. The gown, with the dramatic feathers, wasn’t going to be an easy one to pull off on the red carpet anyways. It’s one of those that works better in print than in real life.

Michelle, who helped pick some of the winners, attended the Retail Jewellery India Awards wearing a blue Falguni & Shane Peacock gown. Hair in an updo, she finished out her look with a monogrammed sparkly Leiber clutch and diamond jewellery.
Given the mesh neckline, I don’t think the necklace was the right pick but since it wasn’t too obtrusive, it wasn’t a deal breaker. I do wish the gown was lined completely.
