In Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna

Nushrat opted for a sheer dress by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna for the GQ 100 Best Dressed party paired with ankle-strap sandals.

Considering I’ve never seen the label do such minis, it makes me wonder if hers was modified and if it was, I wish they hadn’t. Whether it was or not, the dress being this length throws off proportions and comes off looking awkward. Take a look at a similar dress on Kangana here and you’ll know why I feel disappointed.

  1. Please don’t go the Disha Patani way. I remember when Kangana wore the similar dress by the label back in 2013 (very on point) but this is a hot mess.

  2. What a difference that length makes! Not just for the proportions ( and here, Nushrat needed that balance on her lower half) but also for elegance.

  3. One can as well wear a swimsuit instead of wearing dresses like these? I mean how do people walk around, sit at events wearing things like these? Why are women under so much pressure to do this much skin show?

    • I asked this question when SOTY 2 promotions were ongoing and man was I told in extremely crass language that “everyone can do this” and “they simply cross their legs” and if clothes cover “butts and underwear” is not anyone’s concern.

I don’t get it and don’t like this trend at all and agree with you. But perhaps there is an entire generation of girls who think this is ok and any detractors are “aunties” or just “anti women”.
Since then, I have accepted that this type of dressing appeals to some people and will be found again and again on these pages. I’m ready for an onslaught of more ‘wtheys’ than sightings that knock our socks off.
