      • my thought too… they made a middle aged woman look like a 20yrs younger and with wierd eyebrows and therefore wierd expression…

But i do like the rajasthani queen vibe it gives.

I love the clothes more than the jewels.

  2. omg..she looks so young..fresh and delicate..!! loving the jewels and even the lehenga is so pretty and festive without being too blingy !! Its reminiscent of a Rajasthani princess look..she doesn’t even look old enough to be the queen..damn you woman!! 🙂

    • Ironic that Mohd. Rafi’s Husn vaale tera jawaab nahi is playing in the background as I stare at this photo. Perfect companion.

  4. Great outfit. I like/want the jewelry too. Her face is too delicate for the nose ring, which could have been smaller. However she looks lovely.

  5. Is it the money or your natural beauty which makes you look soooo gorgeous. The jewelry, lehenga..everything on the cover.. DIVINE !!

  6. either i am kind of behind or you guys are not wearing your glasses..the face looks really bad..as if she is about to say something and they snap the picture right there..the mouth ,the eye impression and the raised eyebrow..just didnt do it for me and the angle of that nose ring is wrong too

  7. she looks lovely.. no doubt.. but photo shop much??
i think the attire wasn’t at all age appropriate.. and no matter how beautiful she is.. she looks way too younger here than she does in any other normal pics of hers… thanks to photoshop of course.. Bejesus! will women ever embrace their age rather then trying to look younger and younger all the time..

    • Amen. I agree. There is the mag’s responsibility to give a good cover. But it has to be balanced out with a bit of reality.

In this case, I don’t see the point of dressing a 45+ woman as a bride (particularly one who is not a bride/playing a bride/looking to get married). to say nothing of the fact that if you’ve been famous this long, its rather obvious to the world that you HAVE to be older than you look in this pic and HAVE err… been helped a little.

i’d have preferred the cover to have her in a nice elegant, age appropriate salwar suit. i know she’s lost loads of weight recently, but we see her at events often enoough to know that this is nothing like the real her.

I also wonder how the elder bahu agreed to this look. Perhaps the younger one is the smarter one after all.

      • i think people are a bit more against photoshop in the west than they are in India… mags get a lot of criticism for excessive photo shopping.. after all there are ppl out there who are very impressionable and who try so hard to be like these stars.. without understanding that its pretty much impossible to have the perfect skin, perfect body at all the times and at all ages… without a bit of tweeking… be it photo shop or cosmtic surgery…

      • It is a bit ironic to Photoshop Much when they have “The Beauty Within” for her on the cover. No truth or trust in advertising I guess.

  8. Err, this whole wedding-ish/royal-ish/jodhabai-ish look is SO wrong for the humanitarian image this billionaire’s wife would want to convey!
There is a certain politics in styling, and this one’s clearly non PC!

    • lol…. exactly my thoughts.

Nevertheless, must praise the hi blitz team for giving us something different..atleast the concept of the rajasthani princess in a real non cleavage showing way was different…

  11. I don’t get the ‘this is not appropriate for her age’ comments. She’s wearing gorgeous traditional wear and i think the lehenga is very age appropriate…one does not have to be getting married or of a certain ‘marriagable age’ (what is that?) to be wearing such clothes. My big gripe with the look is the nose ring which is way too huge and obscuring half her face! i think a smaller nose ring or a stud would have looked better. I love the rest of the jewellery and the lehenga though!

  12. Every woman of every age has the right to dress up as a bride. My issue is taking a 40-plus woman and photoshopping her to look like a 20-something. Why not take a 25-year-old then?
