In Georges Hobeika

Nimrat walked the BAFTA red carpet tonight in London wearing a pink Georges Hobeika gown. I hate to say this but I didn’t like the gown on her one bit.

The gown with the cape sleeves and keyhole neckline was made for someone less top heavy. Not that Ms. Kaur is top heavy but because of the bad fit, the twins looked too squished and the end result was that the first thing you saw was not the details of the gown but the former.

What do you think of her red carpet look?

  1. I love love love the colour on her and more than that the confidence with which she is wearing it. Makes her look twice as pretty. I have no problem with the “twins” as her overall appearance is so classy.

  2. PnP – This looks just fine. I see your point, the girls are very noticeable and would have looked better on even thinner/A cup people. Now you guys have loved Sonam in far far trashier outfits and she doesn’t have that model-esque body (like Lisa Haydon or even Jackie/DP) either.

  4. She looks good!

All high fashion is made for flat-chested 6 feet tall women. It always looks different worn in real life situations so that’s not a great excuse. I think she’s working it!

  5. They look exactly the way they are supposed to look through that dress :-). Comm’n, its BAFTA red carpet!!
Btw, we need to get over our obsession with flat-chested anorexic bodies. Not everybody is “blessed” to have them. Not everybody has professional photoshoppers at her disposal.

  6. This look is stunning
I had to just stop and stare for a while. I was mesmerized
Then I read the write up and I was confused

I think her boobs look just fine, not squished or heavy but the way natural boobs are supposed to look
Kudos to her for having the confidence to wear it and celebrate her gorgeous curves

  7. Those boobs look natural and beautiful.
I am just loving how she has been wearing a lot of interesting stuff……so much better than Priyanka with her hot model figure but boring predictable outings. Nimrat looks real , natural and beautiful. I love that she does not look plastic, generic ….a la Kim Kardishian and PC. Nimrat and Tabu dress like other women of substance … Marion Cortillard, Helen Mirrin, Natalie Portman, Sandra Bullock….come to mind. Looking like sexy bombshells is not their priority.

  8. I think she looks absolutely stunning. And no she doesn’t look top heavy. I think we’re just too used to seeing models wearing this kinda stuff which is why it may seem that way?

Also, can we please stop referring to breasts as the girls or twins or any other nonsense. It just makes me cringe. We’re grown women here. I think its ok to call them breasts.

  10. She looks nice. But I don’t like the dress. It reminds me of a bridesmaid/mother of the bride. The material looks so heavy. And I find the hem distracting too.
I really want to like this, but I guess it doesn’t matter. She’s there for her movie. She wins anyway!

    • +1. Couldn’t put my finger on what I thought was wrong with the dress. It does indeed remind me of mother of the bride. Not a good colour, fabric is too thick, and the faux shrug is a bit awkward.

  11. Approve all the trash of sonam! Be it her push up bra boobs squished in a dress, bad makeup, over the top clothes, totally event inappropriate outfit!
I really am a fan of this blog , but posts like this disappoint the HHC fans!

  12. The dress looks like its made for the wicked step sisters in a fairy tale. Neither the color not the design is impressive. Having said that, she carries it off very well.. nothing wrong with the fit or the “twins”

  13. Wow. You guys are so subjective in your critique. I’m starting to get the distinct feeling maybe you’re just not so hot on Nimrat because holy heck she looks amazing and more importantly like a confident, self-assured woman, not like a kid playing dress up like a lot of B town actresses.

  14. I’ve seen much more cleavage on other Bollywood plastics and no comment about the girls looking squished….Sonam popping out of her dress at the Stardust awards definitely comes to mind

Also, if Nimrat isn’t ‘top-heavy’ then why mention the dress was made for someone ‘less top-heavy’? The comment was unnecessary and worded badly.

  15. I’ll like this look to be one of the most well-dressed at the BAFTAs! Nimrat looks the right amount of glamour and style, with the added point that the colour works really well for her. Her body type suits the dress (and its cutouts, may I add) very well, and no argument is going to convince me otherwise!

  16. First off – Nimrat looks like a beautiful woman in a bad dress – which has nothing to do with the fitting or her cleavage but that pepto bismol color and those sleeves. A richer shade of pink and different sleeves and this is an A+ – but she still manages to look so graceful and elegant so props to her for that. And second of all – echoing most of the comments here – your bias for Sonam and a few others is boring by now, and yes the euphemisms for a woman’s anatomical parts need to go – not specific to this blog but generally in real life too boobs, butts etc. are part of the lingo but girls, twins?

  17. A perfectly good looking girl styled terribly. Why don’t these women see that they don’t need some kid putting them in candy coloured caped gowns to look good? Tired+makes them age years. She seems like she’s a women of her own way-fire your stylist asap and take a good look at yourself before you leave the house in a god awful cinderella gown again.
