Sho(w)(p)lay
Designer Nida Mahmood Autumn/Winter 2009 collection was an ode to Bollywood featuring prints on bags, jackets, blazers. She herself was spotted with the Basanti bag at Olive Delhi coupled with a scarf from the same collection and in Mumbai, restauranteur AD Singh was spotted at LFW wearing the Gabbar blazer.
How do you like your kitsch? In small doses like the bag or bigger a la the blazer?

Too much! That jacket is very OTT. Love the Basanti bag, though. Small doses are enough for me, thank you.
Small doses most definitely
This is completely … unoriginal and unimaginative. Pseudo-kitsch.
Hmmm, its not really an original idea. But still, i think the bag is cute.
where does she retail from P & P – any idea??
The jacket looks like he’s draped a huge banner across him….OTT.Liked the bag though
jacket is hideous… love your play on Sholay P+P in the title!
The jacket is hideous but the bag is cute…
Ughhh!! The jacket is almost nauseating!!
And this designer really bugs me with too deliberate attempts to insert kitsch in everything!
true twists in fashion should be effortless!
