In Payal Khandwala

Wearing a Payal Khandwala maxi, Neha attended a recent Awards event in Mumbai. Sleek, centre-parted straight hair, smokey eyes, Amrapali jewelry, Bottega Veneta clutch and matching yellow-toned heels finished out her look. She looked fantastic!Love the color on her especially.

We do wish the heels were slightly shorter or the maxi a wee bit longer, but given how everything else was just right, we are happy to overlook that detail.

  1. Like Anamika Khanna, I sometimes just don’t get Payal Khandwala. Some of her stuff works but this is like a choga. And Neha should know better. It’s a waste of fabric.

  2. I don’t understand this silhouette.. Even Neha couldn’t make it work! Despite the flawless makeup/styling 🙂 However Neha looks lovely asever 🙂

  3. Love love love the fact that this lady is so true to her style..The style may seem monotonous but she always manages to punk it up by say, a different hair-do or wearing separates often!

  4. Such ‘tents’ were all the rage in Pakistan some 3-4 years ago but they almost always had gathers on the neckline and were either sleevless or had fitted chooridar sleeves balance the overall silhouette. Paired with well stitched culottes and the right styling they look really stylish.

  6. The maxi/extra long kurta/nightie/gown..had me at the color. I wish it wasn’t so long (and less roomy) because it would have worked well on Neha. That necklace is gorgeous.

  7. Such a sanyasi vibe. I do like some of Payal Khandwala’s stuff but please attain moksha from these unflattering, shapeless tents.

  8. I actually love the look minus the footwear(it begs for flats) . I wish people would stop using the term tent… There are so many silhouettes and loose and ill – fitted are not the same thing. Neha is really working it.

    • I agree, love this except for the shoes. I think the statement being made with this tent is, I am so comfortable with my body that I can look good even in this swathe of fabric.

Also, there is something regal about long flowy dresses and tunics.

  9. Usually love Payal khandwala, but this certain outfit reminds me of dresses worn during maternity. This gives her a stomach we know she doesn’t have!
