Mehendi Style

At the Jain-Advani mehendi function, Ms. Singh was seen in a black kurta set paired with a Chanel flap bag worn as a clutch. Now, I would’ve preferred the dupatta to be worn a little less casually wrapped around the arm. I say that because that line of embroidered peacock on the border felt too in your face and jarring. But, it’s a minor gripe. She looked nice nevertheless.

  1. I legit thought it was an Anurada Vakil or a Sangeeta Kilachand when I saw this. Something just doesnt feel right with this look. In isolation, that kurta maybe with a simpler bottom and the dupatta would’ve looked better or that gorgeous dupatta with a plain kurta and heavy bottoms. Idk its a very busy look.

  2. I like the whole look. As usual she’s manages to elegant even with a busy kurta. I am trying to see the look without the necklace and I think it would have actually worked.

  3. I think that she looks nice. I love the peacock design on the border. I think it elevates the outfit. It’s a beautiful design and it evokes joyfulness.

  4. now this is a suit that required shoulder-dusters and not the neckpiece. bahu and saas needed to have swapped their jewellery ideas if not the pieces.
also think she wore the dupatta straight to show off the peacocks.

  5. She has the innate ability to look graceful and elegant even in the most garish clothes and color combos. I don’t like the outfit much, but can’t deny that she looks good!

  6. Is it peacocks or paisleys? A chiffon dupatta would have worked better in this busy outfit which she would be able to casually place around her neck & let it hang on the back . Also dangly earrings instead of that necklace .
