In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Ms. Singh taped an Indian Idol episode recently and was seen wearing an ajrakh print suit from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. I like the idea of using multiple ajrakh print panels on the bust but I wish there weren’t there on the sides as well. Makes the kurta look way too busy. Having said that though, she wore it well.

  1. The way you address people on this blog by their titles and last names, it makes everything feel so stiff unnecessarily complicated.
I don’t see pics of celebs and go “oh! there’s a pic of Ms. Singh! ( she calls herself Mrs. Kapoor btw) or Ms. Kaif, Mrs. Bachchan”… I just think its Neetu Kapoor, or Katrina Kaif…or Aishwarya or Karisma or Kareena… etc… and I’m sure most other people think same as me..

    • It could be a personal preference to address an elder celebrity in this manner out of respect. I would do the same, and appreciate their way of doing so.

      • They do it routinely with celebs of all ages.. and called Neetu herself by first name many times, so it’s not age related. It just comes off stiff and formal, like its some official news… not an informal blog.

@Rish, I am not “taking issues” , I’m well aware it someone else’s blog & they can do as they please… I do like it & have been following the blog for a few years, so it was simply a suggestion to make it read & flow better.

    • @Star1 the bloggers used to address the older celebs by their first names sometimes. Keeping in mind the casual and fun vibe of the blog. But there were many reader comments which were super nasty towards PnP and said they were disrespecting the older actors, etc. So the first name basis is only for the younger crowd now and the rest addressed with appropriate salutations. Political correctness will be the end of this world, I tell you!!

      • I’m not aware of complains, although they call younger routinely celebs you their surnames as well.. anyway its a trivial matter, to me first names seems more warm and reads better, but if to some it feels disrespectful then best cater to their sensibilities … as it’s better to be formal than be perceived as rude & disrespectful!

    • If I remember right, I think there were complaints in the past for addressing people like Waheeda Rahman, Sharmila Tagore without titles /Ma’m. They were called being disrespectful:)
I think they started this after that.
