Neetu and Sonali For Wendell Rodricks

If you thought Vidya Balan as a showstopper was weird, think twice! Wendell Rodricks picked Neetu Chandra and Sonali Kulkarni to walk his runway and can we say neither impressed in their respective outfits.

Luckily for Sonali, she didn’t look as bad as Neetu on the runway! The outfit was so wrong for Neetu’s body type.

  2. these silhouettes are so unflattering. considering that sonali was wearing an empire waist, this should have been much more flattering for her. and the corset on neetu ends in a place that would make anybody without washboard abs look far bigger than they are. wendell rodericks : friend or foe?!

  6. It’s so easy to make someone with a perfect figure look good on the ramp. I’m really impressed with these designers’ decision to let more “real” people walk the ramp in their creations. It could be a great sight to watch someone with a perfect 10 figure carry a garment beautifully, but fashion isn’t just for people with perfect 10 figures, is it?

I don’t care much for the garments these two women are wearing, but I love the idea of seeing people who aren’t unreasonably skinny walk the ramp.

  7. @ priya.. Fashion sure is for everyone, but selection of outfits according to body type is what fashion is all about. I dont mind these “real” people walking the ramp, but the clothes should be according to their body types, no? 🙂

  8. I actually think Sonali looks worse than Neetu. Simply coz her outfit sucks more than Neetu’s. I mean, what the hell is wrong with the fit of the dress at the bottom?!!?

  9. There is a reason we have models for walking down the ramp. Even if the designer makes an ugly, hideous dress (or 2, like in this post), chances are the model will make it look better and someone might actually buy it.

If you make ugly dresses and then have shapeless people model them, you have no hopes of ever selling your collection!

  10. dahlings, I know what happened. Wendell cried “yelp!” and his assistant ran to bring these “real” women and sold him to the whole “natural” look funda! Neetu and Sonali were thrown into the dark dungeon called the Dressing Room and were asked to pick the first thing they touched!! And, here we are, poor audience, being subjected to the monstrosity of the darkness…naturally!! tsk tsk
