Sari Style
Neena attended the launch of an audio book app wearing an emerald green sari and matching blouse. As much as I have a weakness for this color, I really wish, she’d worn the sari with a green potli instead of the red one. It just felt too jarring against the delish green color.

I can overlook the bag. Her face and her poise …..wow, she is beautiful!
This look has a Christmas-tree-like feel to it. The material is shiny and the blouse has fit issues. Even so, I like this look. Ms.Gupta has worn a ‘normal’ blouse and the sari is neatly draped. What’s more, the sari actually looks like a sari! On these pages, we have seen the sari being taken apart to create one monstrous ‘design’ after the other. So this comes as a pleasant surprise.
Nitipicky much? Also, ’tis the season! Maybe she was being festive..she looks lovely! <3
love The red Potok with the green outfit .. the contrast stood out and in a good way
But it’s christmas time!
Jokes apart, I think she looks good…even though I don’t particularly like that blouse
I don’t like this all green look. And the blouse is having fit issues. No. Not liking at all.
A green potli would have been too matchy. Nina Gupta has always had a distinct style sense that doesn’t confer to expectations and rules and she has the face and grace to pull it off.
Green potli would hv been too match-y match-y. The saree needed some contrast either through blouse or accessories.
I love the look as it is.. she has that inert charm that makes this work…
I really like how the monochrome looks so modern, and at the same time, so vintage. Neenaji looks beautiful. The red accessories are cheerful and festive. Gunmetal accents via clutch and bracelets would be a nice pick for another outing, I think.
I agree, if she had gone with gun metal or even gold it would have take it another level.
Love
You do know green & red are complimentary colours and therefore perfect with each other?
It’s actually the jewellery thats not going with the outfit.
All green wud have been overdose… beige or gold potli wud be fine… red is giving x mas vibes . Lovely sari btw
She looks nice but definitely needs a darker lipstick and Kohl on her lower lids too
Otherwise she looks stuck in the badhai ho mode for a long while now
Parrot 🙂
She looks great – love that color on her. But et tu Neena ji?? Why the sloppy pallu drape ?
I have to say we hate younger women in these pages. Not a single comment about the blouse revealing drape in this post. Any younger actress with that drape would be trolled. I say this to defend that drape. People have been wearing the saree that way for ages.
