Nayanthara and Vignesh tied the knot in Chennai today with the bride wearing a sari by Jade and the groom, a veshti, kurta and shawl also from Jade.

Congrats to the newlyweds, and how gorgeous does Nayanthara look? Love the emerald jewellery in contrast to her saree..not to forget the groom who looks dapper too! Waiting to see pics of all the south stars who attended the wedding

Wow she went non-silk/ non-kanjeevaram which for a south indian is very unconventional 🙂 The papers will be talking about this for a while. She looks heavenly, look at those rocks.
I was so sure this was Sabyasachi. It looks like a cross between Priyanka Chopra’s red wedding outfit with Deepika Padukone’s reception jewellery.
That’s becoz Deepika’s stylist Shaleena is one who styled Nayanthara! Pretty much the stylist used PC’s and DP’s looks instead of coming up with something unique. Nonetheless the bride looked radiant.
Nayanthara Is such a beautiful divine looking bride! I loved the fact they look happy together. I’m glad she didn’t go the Sabyasachi route. But still looked elegant. I have to Vignesh wore one of the best silk attires I have seen. Wishing the gorgeous couple a lifetime of happiness. Love love !

I love a south indian groom look! We rarely get to see it on these pages. They both look gorgeous! I would have loved to see a little bit more gold accents on Nayan Baby’s look to play off of Vignesh’s. They look so lovely regardless!

These are spectacular looks …however, The groom is as traditional as he can be…. The bride is as non traditional ( south) she can be…. So when put together they clash! …. They look super happy which is all tht matters I guess
She looks ethereal. Right from the makeup to the color of the saree. The emeralds were the stars of the show. Those big rocks! LOVE!! She is beautiful. The groom looks dapper too.
Not a big fan of the draping though. As a matter of fact, not a fan of the Dolly Jain draping on any celebrity.
P.s: Shaleena and Jade needs to amb up. Sabya knock offs do not pass off as new designs. Her styling is very similar to PC’s red lehenga, including the Rani Haar. What PC did with diamonds, the stylist did with emeralds. And the jewelry resembles DP’s emerald Sabya jewelry. They should come up with orginal ideas for dressing up brides.

Honestly, after Alia’s look, I imagined Nayanthara will go this saree + veil route given she has Christian roots. Just a smidge disappointed with the neckline and overall coverage…but it provides an amazing contrast to the jewellery! Those have to be the largest emeralds I have ever seen!

the groom stole the limelight in his simple, traditional Tamil wedding attire. Proves yet again that the beauty of traditional Indian weaves is unmatched, and that simplicity is pure elegance.
