Of the ladies that donned suits at Pavitra Reddy’s half sari ceremony, our eyes were immediately drawn to Samantha and Namrata for all the right reasons. Priya Mani got our attention too, but for the awful brocade bust design.

      • Not the same, PP. In A.P, half-saree ceremony is when grandparents give the girl her first half-saree and saree to wear. It is celebrated before the girl turns 11.
Something like Bat Mitzvah which doesn’t necessarily coincide with physical puberty.

  2. samantha – looks good, but again, that make up, which is tone “whiter” than the rest of the bpdy – sigh
Namrata – what a beauty, but I suppose, she doesnt believe in good makeup…. but whats with the salwar?
Priyamani – her dress and hair are real disaster…

  3. I feel bad for this young lady that such a private and intimate time as a coming of age ceremony should become a page 3 event. Thankfully no pics of the girl herself for people to critique!

    • Hey dis ceremony is not something related to puberty or maturity. It is a ceremony where in the girl is gifted langa voni symbolising her transition into teenage. In olden days until dis ceremony girls wear langa (telugu word for lehenga and choli) after the langa voni or half saree ceremony she wears the lehenga with a dupatta or voni. Similarly a Dhoti ceremony is performed for boys

  4. Samantha’s outfit is pretty. Wish she had earrings and a bindi to complete the look.
Namrata’s outfit would have been better if the bottom was chudidhar type.

  5. Hate Namrata’s suit. That shade of blue is awful, the pants are poorly cut/the wrong length, and the shoes look worse than something my grandmother would wear.

  6. I thought most people r not doing this function any longer, but people seem to be doing it in a large way.

Namrata should first take care of her foundation, her face looks darker compared to the rest of her body and then her dress choice……
