In Mandira Wirk

It was a gold Mandira Wirk sheath dress that Mughda wore to the Sports Illustrated Awards. Am not particularly fond of the dress but have to say Ms. Godse makes it work. A dress that would look far worse on anyone else fares quite okay on her. She gets props for keeping the make-up minimal but if there’s anything I’d change, it’d be that clutch.

As far these metallic sheaths/lamé dresses go, I much prefer the one that we saw on Preity Zinta quite a while ago, a dress that was a basic/simple sheath (if you can ever call lamé “basic” or “simple”).

  1. I don’t know, I dont think it works. Her make up looks too plain (which it would have to be given the look of this outfit) and yes, the clutch doesn’t work. Perhaps if she had let the hair down a bit?

  2. She should have worn it like the runway version- with the big sleeves! Would have looked much edgier.
The shoes & clutch have got to go.

  3. I immediately thought of Preity’s sheath as well. I think hers worked more because the cut and the fit was so exact. When using a more daring material, I think the best way to pull it off is to have a simple cut and a perfect fit. If this fit Mugdha a little more perfectly, then it would have been flawless.
I still maintain that this lady is hot, however 🙂

  4. Oh look…it is an outfit made out of silver foil! What in the whole wide world is my aunt going to cover her casserole with?

  5. The silver Dolce?? The 1st thing it reminded me of after looking at Preity again was aluminium foil. I have acctually seen something like that but can’t remember what it is… it isn’t a dress. It was so tight on Preity.. waist up she could be part of a sci-fi film.

  6. I think the light in which the picture was taken makes so much difference!
I also think that the color would suit fairer ladies like Aishwarya than the darker complected ones.
