Just because one can, doesn’t mean one should Breakfast At Tiffany’s-ize a look. For the Dior show, Mira picked a minimalist dress/top-shorts look from the brand to wear. But it was the styling that killed the look for me. The hair, the red lip, the necklace, none of it worked with the vibe of those separates. I wasn’t a fan of the look, in case you can’t tell.

  1. Mira is one the better styled celebrity on this page. her style is always classy and she never follows the tacky trends other people do. Yet she is judged so strongly. She looks great. anushkas dress on the other hand had serious issues. I would never have worn it with those unfortunate darts as you call it. But she gets a thumbs up.
Is this a deliberate move with a view to getting readers indignant because you guys seem to be giving free pass to some people who generally don’t deserve it while being extremely nitpicking with others.

    • Why does it matter… who is given a free pass by P & P?

I’d like to think that P & P are people who enjoy fashion and have an opinion, just like everyone else here. I don’t see them as an authority on fashion, neither do I think their opinion matters any more or less than mine or yours. Because all of this is really a matter of personal taste and preference. They might like something you don’t, or you might like something they dismiss. You might like an actress, and end up giving her a free pass… and they can do the same, no? Did they ever claim that they are above such biases? And can you?

  2. She is having fun with this look. I don’t personally like the cakey makeup but this overall look that she is going for warrants it.

  3. She looks crisp & chic. Not sure why such harsh remarks. Also, I don’t really see what is so Breakfast At Tiffany’s about this look…black outfit and red lips hardly make it that. The hair is far from Audrey Hepburn’s. I frankly don’t see any deliberate attempt to imitate the look.

    • I agree! I failed to see the correlation with Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I am not a fan of cakey makeup anyway (for any occasion – day, night, awards show, fashion show, etc.), but the dress and styling is nice; much better than many others!

  4. I get that the authors can have their own preferences – but it is gobsmacking that this look is critiqued so scathingly and the monstrosity of a sash worn by Neha Dhupia is considered okay.
