Sari Style

Love this appearance of Mini’s… She looked great on the red carpet, how could we not?

As for the peek-a-boo petticoat, we hope it’s just the wind playing havoc and not shoddy draping. Either way, it barely distracts from the over-all look.

  2. So I may very well be in the minority but I don’t like. I like the sari but I don’t like its pairing with that red blouse. I can see what she was going for but I just don’t feel it. Neck up – love her happy look – very natural.

    • have to agree with you. She looks great, but sort of reminds me of my neighbour dressed for Durga-pujo, albeit much hotter than my said neighbour.

sometimes too simple can also look like trying too hard to be simple eh?

  3. Lovely sari…loved the ‘flowing hair, a bindi that looks like a bindi and not look like a microscopic fly stuck on her forhead, lots of bangles’ look . Is that a chunky toe-ring she is wearing?

    • I had to go up and see for myself and you’re right! Can’t see them! Where are the shoes!!

And I love this look! If I ever wore a sari this is the way to go.

    • It could be a Tant, but also looks like a variation of the traditional Kerala ‘kasavu’ cotton saree. Not sure. As a Keralite, I can say that blouse is definitely a no-no, but only if you take the traditional sartorial view.

  6. the only thing i dont like here is the bag… BUT this is what natural sexiness is all about! cotton sari, big bindi, halter blouse….heres a woman who is comfortable and confident of her style quotient…no copying the chiffon bling brigade, no designer need for this… heres to a true Indian woman putting our roots right there on the red carpet! Go Mini Mathur Go!
