India sure is the toast of Spring ’13. While Marchesa and Vera Wang drew inspiration from India in New York, Matthew Williamson referenced the country in his collection presented during London Fashion Week.
Prints referencing Holi, Nehru jackets (in tweed), embellishments and embroidery, saturated colors… His nod to his inspiration was hard to miss. All while the collection was quintessentially Matthew Williamson.

If someone was asked which country this collection represents, I bet no one would say India.
However I do love the collection and the fact that Designers are putting India in the limelight.
Love all the Blouses with the Nehru collars.
