Completely agree. Who thought it was a good idea to put ugly wedge heels on Kolhapuri chappals anyway? Ruins the stylish simplicity of a good pair of Kolhapuris and makes them look like something you would find at Payless.
However Malini Ramani/Bata need not fear – Aishwarya Rai is going to be all over those hideous monstrosities.
I think whoever can pull any of the above ones off decently should be called the REAL style icon.
I’ll buy an understated version of the wedges…..but the watches are just HORRIBLE.

Not feeling the Kolhapuri Wedges at all! I like Kolhapuris as flats only so these look a bit tacky.

dont like the wedges at all…they look quite cheap. hate the watch in the middle but the one on the right is nice tho the face couldve been a little more decent. the left watch is okay, but too much bling for me..
The wedges are not really my style. I like the first and last watches as bracelets.
Except for the blue watch on the extreme right, everything else is ..ummm..tacky at best.
The watches look tacky. The wedges, on the other hand, look cute…I’d wear them 🙂
wedges are pretty cute….but the watches look like cheap pick ups from flea market
except the center one (completelyATROCIOUS ),love the other two watches……….(kinda eccentric feel to them).

i cant belive there are people here who would wear 1st and 3rd watch. they are beyond tacky!! but looks like Tarun will have a good business.
Wedges are ok…will look good with bright colored churidaars, sari..
i’ve had my eyes on one particular off-white tarun tahiliani for timex watch for quite sometime…but the ones shown here are not the best of lot…again will look good with sari if you want to add some jewellery and dont want to stack up bangles and kadas…jewelled bracelets with watch face…

The wedges look too heavy for this kolhapuri style…they would perhaps look better if the platform part was’nt there.
A few of the other watches from the collection are quite nice; these are very tacky!
