Malaika on Harper’s Bazaar:(Un)Covered

We’ve already seen the all-black Vogue editorial featuring Katrina. Here is the all-white editorial of Malaika from Harper’s.

You may think it odd that we see this crochet Pucci so quickly after Leann Rimes (see Here) wore the see-through number bravely in real life, but technically Malaika wore it first because photoshoots happen months in advance.

Malaika wears it as part of an all-white feature for this month’s Harper’s Bazaar that was shot in Jordan at the Petra caves.

If anyone could rock this Pucci as well as Leann did (not that we like it anyways), it would be Malaika except not really digging the hair.

  1. I think it would have looked better if she was standing. But I also have a strange feeling this particular dress may not have fitted her too well.
But so nice to see Malaika on a cover. She totally deserves to be a cover girl.

    • i agree… she does look uncomfortable ! and i dont like seeing cleavage… esp when it forms a distinct line..
personally the dress wld have looked better on someone a tad bit flatter…

  2. She looks like a mermaid, non? To me the dress would look a lot better on someone younger.. it has a virginal feel to it. Whereas Malika is anything but..is she squeezing her boobs there for better cleavage? All in all have to say they could have done better.

  3. The hair is nice-ish but not loving the pose – especially the hands, she looks really uncomfortable.
and the dress would have worked better on someone younger and taller, taking a more bohemian/ breezy countryside stance

  6. Why do the pictures look like they photoshopped Malaika into the Canyons? Doesn’t look like she was actually shooting there..

  7. Same hand-touching-forehead pose in 4 out of 8 shots! I agree with someone above who’s said she isn’t effortlessly sexy, even though she has all the potential to be so!

  8. First picture is divine though she manages to put a relief mood without taking much support on that rock.I feel all pictures are nice but any other model would have made the result same, as she is potrayed as a figure here.

  9. Actually, she’s looking her age on the cover, and not a bimbo, so for that I’d say the cover is a success. Love the insde spread also!
