In Manish Malhotra

For the finale episode of her television show, Madhuri picked an ornate Manish Malhotra lehenga to wear. Diamond jewelry from Anmol rounded out the actor’s look. Like what you see?

  1. The lavendar is lovely I am absolutely tired of ghararas shararas, lehangas, anarkalis and tents of every kind. BW and esp Madz has flogged it mercilessly
I am ready for suits to return

    • Why does judging a TV show call for wedding outfits or costume dresses ? It’s tiring to watch Madhuri , Shilpa, Malaika wear these over-the-top, weird outfits. Sigh sigh !!

      • I guess tv stylists aren’t paid as good as movie stylists and do what they know.. festive and bridal. Can’t get who goes wrong there.
Or they just assume a family audience is equivalent to baraati.
On aside, I love what hosts are styled like on agt, British idol, and their likes.

  2. I don’t hate the lehnga but it’s not working on her. She looks amazing not just for her age but in general. I wish she would embrace more modern silhouettes and ditch the 90s Bollywood glam. Thank God no side part wavy hair this time! Baby steps.

  3. Bollywood designers only know how to sell these boring products. A senior celebrity (like Madhuri) may not receive work if she fails to patronize these influential designers. So, you will not find her in traditional weaves. However, I have seen her wearing Paithanis during normal occassions.

    This is Business.. as usual.

  4. Wedding, Award function, judging the show,
    Any random function….
You see all age groups wearing same attire with/without dupatta.
Indian designers creativity only struck to Lehanga’s 90% of the times.

  5. Without my glasses I thought this was Tara Sutaria lol very similar outfits by MM on her too. But also there’s something very Barbie about this princess cut lehenga skirt plus icy lavender color

  6. I am waiting for Salman to throw a mango and for the Didi tera dewar diwana ditty to start..This is such a mix of the 90s and current bolly babes kiara/ tara/ kriti same ol mish mash. The waist fit pinches too much, and she clearly doesnt even seem very comfy..

Why is she wearing this, head slap. Can the local weavers and handlooms be given a chance to dress the lady please. Those linens and mul sarees would look so much more classy instead of this same ol gujju bling and blah blang. Im so mad : ))

  7. Way too much jewelry, especially absolutely no need for the mangtikka if you’re not the bride or attending a wedding at very least. The finishing touches look really poor here, most noticeably the fit at the top of the skirt gives it a “muffintop” look, and the solid panel on the blouse looks weird because it shows from the front of the bust when it should have been at the side, so it looks odd to the eye. Also hair extensions look ill-fitting and untidy. And did I mention the jewelry, a few pieces should have been ripped off before stepping out. Is there a reason why she has to wear these MM pieces and similar? I understand she’s the primary breadwinner (which I love most about her for breaking the heroine stereotype of having to marry a richer guy) and needs the work but she was a big enough of a star to be able to put her foot down. She’s still pretty and can do better than this.

    • Agree – the maang tikka looks supremely silly – but bollywood and soap operas are so obsessed with it. Its the one piece of jewelry within a set that I also stow away sadly every time in the unused trinket pile, wishing they’d included a finger ring on the set instead.
