In Sabyasachi
Wearing a light pink Sabyasachi lehenga-sari, Madhuri walked the red carpet last night. With her hair up, jewelry from Gehna finished out the look.
Having seen multiple versions of this lehenga-sari before (on others), it’s quite hard to shake-off that feeling of déjà vu. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Ms. Dixit did look nice.

I wish Madhuri would stop wearing sleeveless blouses. She has such drooping shoulders that a sleeve would give her a little more structure. It’s strange that even at this age, she doesn’t seem to understand her own body.
No matter what designer she wears, there’s something about her that looks so dated and old-fashioned. It ruins most of her looks.
Like for real. If she is nearing 50 and has been in the industry like forever now , I am sure she can at least realize sleeveless blouses and see through material is not for her body type. Jeez!
For what it’s worth, I have very little respect for these stylists like Tanya Ghavri. What is she doing any differently than she would for Kareena or Deepika? It’s like they pick whatever outfits they like and just keep putting them on everyone. How is this being a personal stylist?
Why would you put a nearly 50 year old woman in a frothy bubble gum pink lengha sari with transparent fabric showing off the stomach and tiny sleeveless blouse? There are so many other options that would showcase Madhuri’s beauty without making her look like a trying-too-hard fool aping women 20 years younger than her.
Well said. I agree. She looks ridiculous.I hate the outfit.
You’ve hit the nail on the head! I took one look at this outfit and gasped! It makes her look 4 sizes larger than she is and the colour is totally wrong!
Absolutely agree with this.
+1 Not cool this slapping on the same styling on every one of your clients, regardless of their age, body type, personality.
+1. Completely agree. This looks is not half as bad… but why the same kind of clothes for everybody across the board.
+100
Madhuri looks really sweet. The color looks lovely on her as well. Considering she is 47(?) she looks darn good. We know and have seen many A-listers in bollywood who aren’t able to measure up to this standard.
I am not usually that much of a critic with Madhuri-she has me at her smile-this looks bad. I wish she would go back to her own fashion sense. At least she looked more ‘real’ and comfortable in it.
She looks like a watermelon with white seeds…why dress up this way?
I wish she would stop wearing these strappy blouses..she does not have right shoulders to carry them off..n nothing great about the saree either….
Madhuris a pretty lady but theres just something a bit dated about her in whatever she wears. i agree about ditching the strapless blouses, very few people are toned enough to carry them off and madhuris shoulders are way too droopy for them. The outfit is very frou frou on her, would have worked on a younger person.
Tina you have summed up in words what a million others want to say. Absolutely accord with your opinion.
Another day, another blingy saree… How great she looked in the structured jeans/ blazer looks. She really needs to get over this ’90s aesthetic.
Madhuri is a beautiful woman with awful taste in sarees and Indian wear…she should be rocking them because they would go so well with her style but she picks stuff that’s either blingy, sheer, and very unflattering.
She looks like the ubiquitous neighbor aunty.
Is it just me or are Sabyasachis beginning to look a more like Manish Malhotra designs these days?
