The outfit looks nice on her as it’s a change to see her in anything except anarkali gowns or sarees. But its a dated design. Like the ones she wore in dil toh paagal hai.
why is this ‘dated ‘ term being associated with her. She is 50+ and has gone through many cycles of fashion/outfits…so anything you see on her, if it reminds you of her wearing it in one of her older movies doesn’t make the current look dated. remember fashion always cycles

There’s something dated about Madhuri, maybe it’s the hairstyle? It’s got nothing to do with her age or the association with 90s movies. Sridevi, for example, never looked dated.

Agreed! Madhuri and Juhi have a certain dated vibe no matter what they wear. Don’t get me wrong – Madhuri looks fabulous but the look itself not so much.
Sridevi might not’ even looked “dated” to you but she was always OTT.
Agree with your comment. She has been in showbiz for a long time now so some outfits will look “dated”. The problem with this blog is that someone like Malaika Arora who is nearer to 50 but dresses obnoxiously for the most part is lauded as being fashion forward but someone like Madhuri who is understated in her style, lives healthy, and actually is aging gracefully is termed dated. Fashion is not just clothes anymore unfortunately , it’s also about who promotes it and what they represent. Which means trash and eye ball grabbing fashion will be promoted as “personal choice” and applauded but understated elegance and classic fashion will be called dated.
Nat P, Nora Fatehi, Kiara Advani, KJO nepo babes are your fashion trendsetters but anyone who doesn’t conform is relegated to the dinosaur era….coz you know…”dated”.
