Madhuri attended a party on Saturday evening wearing a co-ord set from Mini Sondhi and while the embroidered jacket was interesting, the proportions just were so off here. If she had just worn regular heels instead of platforms, the pants would’ve worked better.

I hear what you say but still stick to my comment. It’s her posture, that classical pose / body language/ posture… synonymous with really good Indian dancers somehow doesn’t jive with Western wear. Like wise on Hemamalini
So the Indian classical pose, that is graceful, and something to vie for, is behenji according to you??
Madhuri needs look comfortable in her outfits- the clothes wear her- she rarely owns them and channels are otherwise charismatic personality!! Her natural sense of style never shows!!! So no matter what she wears there is that aplomb missing!!
Love the jacket and pants combo. I am going to sound ageist here, but this ensemble would look great on someone with a younger vibe like Kriti, Ananya, etc. Madhuri doesn’t need clothes to “make” her. She is gorgeous as is.
