  1. Watched the entire show on you tube. Absolutely the most unique and wearable fashion clothes from an indian designer i have ever seen at any fashion showing. Pnp you have not even put up the better half of the show. Sabyasachi is a true genius.

  2. Seriously girls. This is one of the biggest designers and I know you’re huge fans. It would be brilliant if you actually critiqued the show rather than typing the odd comment over the snaps. You used to do this all the time and it made for interesting reading.
You critique random posts where you say the same thing again and again eg Aishwarya in anarkalis.
I really want to know what you think about these colours, fabrics, shapes for a resort collection x

  4. Is it just me or does this smell a lot like Gucci, with some Tom Ford thrown in… Why?? Is the Kolkata Spinster look not working for you anymore Sabya??

    • I was scrolling down the photos of the show row by row thinking wow this is nice.. but when i got the the last row and saw the gold sequinned dress with the number 7 on it i almost threw my laptop out the window! TOM FORD all over it! I’m so shocked and slightly disgusted at Sabya.

    • Wow such intelligence! SM you should be standing with a placard at a fellow designers show. You both match when it comes to intelligence. I suggest you understand a bit more about fashion before you make such comments of a great show.

  5. Unless he’s going for a gothic funeral vibe, I see no vive or happiness whatsoever in this collection. So depressing, dark and uninteresting.

    • Boy, some seriously heavy words “genius” etc; wonder what it is here that you find so amazingly mind blowing…

Given how many of the comments are praising this collection to high heaven, I probably need to develop an aesthetic that admires rehashed and/or insipid inspirations of other designers. Okay, peace.

      • Agreed…I didn’t find anything interesting…still trying to see the “genius” bit in this collection…

        • Agree! And this coming from a huge Sabya fan… I cannot believe what I am seeing. This is not his signature style but then again maybe he is trying to move away from it and catering more to the western market?

      • I think you guys are fans of other indian designers who thinks indian womens fashion is either dressing like a horse in heels – cape, churi dhothi pants …. Or clowns- fan prints, lipstick prints, buildings n manish arora … Or strippers- feathers, pearls, n shane peacock dresses… Or the copy cats who blatently copy from history of famous western designers with kathakali motifs to add the indian element.

        • I don’t know my Indian designers very well so please look up collections from Pakistani designers like Kamiar Rokni, Sublime by Sara, Teejays or Muse to realise how best to do what Sabya is trying to do here.

      • You don’t need to develop any aesthetic. You don’t like it, I do. No need to challenge people’s opinions. You think it’s rehashed, that’s a fair point? By all means write who and what season you think he’s ripping off. You’re very much entitled to your point of view, maybe be strong enough to stick with it. ‘Peace’.

  6. Some f the clothes r good, but theres nothing new here…feel a sense of deja vu…and last row is propbably the worst.I say it again…sabya and manish r the most overrated indian designers

  7. This reminds you of a mish mash of inspired looks from so many foreign designers like Gucci, Prada, Furstenberg with bling, aspects of classic Schiaparelli and of course Dries Van Noten! Where is Sabyasachi’s voice? ‘It’ is either mute or repeating old ideas. I think he only excels at making great wedding lehengas. I would love to take back my statement some day and be proved wrong.
