Leiber ‘Chandini’: Love It Or Hate It?

Comment image 17

First came the Ganesha, then the Henna and now the Chandini.

Is this Leiber’s subtle way of winning over India?

  1. I looked up the price tag. Seriously? Buyers better have a real good reason for spending that amount on a tiny clutch as that.
Sigh. Wish that money was going to a better cause than just fashion.

  2. I had loved the Ganesha coz of the colors (and also coz it just seemed so outrageous :P) but, meh, this one not so much.

P.S. A friend of mine bought a Leiber and a few crystals from her clutch actually came off. She obviously was horrified! Makes me think that can’t we even expect good quality after paying some 5000 odd dollars?? (i for one can neither afford, nor will ever buy a leiber!!)

  3. Question: Is this a soft clutch, or a hard one? (I’m a dude, so I have no clue.)

I don’t like the color combination.

Also, my mother has something very similar to this, except it’s from Gujarat and is made of lots and lots of small pearls strung together. (I’m not sure what the name for this handicraft is – any help? I’ve seen it usually done as “paintings” to be framed and put up.)

  5. I like the design.. but um, why is it called chandni and why is it pink?or is it the work on it?

paying 3000$ for it is a crime.. one must donate to charity before buying this..;)
