  3. Great cover picture–I want the cardigan! She looks great with just her face as her main accessory…as opposed to tons of accessories!! (Hope that made sense…)

  5. She rocks the cover…she is so versatile…I mean from a village damsel(in Billu b>>>>) to this…its amazing to see her transform with the clothes she wears .
Kudos to Lara for carrying cotton sarees to Avante Garde designer wear like no one else can.

  6. Oh I couldn’t recognise her! Is it the work of photoshop again?! She usually looks more beautiful than this. Her face looks so lacklustre. I think the colours of the cardigan and skirt don’t mesh.

  7. i think i am the only one to find this cover meh. i’m disappointed in the recent VI covers- the sjp one looked like a ‘good housekeeping’ cover.
for this one, i dislike the skirt with a passion. the cardigan’s not so bad. but her hair looks greasy-
i just feel that clothes make the cover lack that certain oomph.
although lara herself has proved time and again she is worthy of being a high profile model.

  8. It was high time that Vogue India came up with a fashionable cover as this.. Cool Summery Background and font colors, and Lara in the middle with no- make up look and a pretty much nude palette..
The belt cud’ ve been given a miss to complete the minimalistic look.. Yet its Classy & Sexy..

  9. Lara Dutta is very pretty and versatile, but this is a some wonderful Photoshop work. Doesnt look anything like her, from the skin tone to the eyes.

  10. i would have loved the cover hd they not photoshopped her face to extreme ….. you can;t make out that its even her …. assuming a random model, its a great cover – very bright and summer is around the corner cover….

  11. She can thanks photoshop for giving her a flawless (yet a bit too light) skin. I don’t like the cover, I think it’s boring.

  12. Dunno why but Lara can look so much better…. she is looking so meh here..the clothes are lovely and her skin is super awesome..but the hair !!! it cud have been styled so much better ! Not very vogue-cover like !

  13. I was convinced that Indian Vogue can’t do a good cover, but this I really really like. Lara is so dreamy and the cover overflows with the notion of summer- bright, fresh and a whiff of romance! LOVE IT

  14. Loving the top, belt and the cuff,Lara has loked much better almost everywhere else. And as for the skirt,it is cute but i for one cannot wear anything that has such a huge knot at the crotch :P.

  15. I think lara looks diff because the makeup people haven’t given her heavy eyes.. she still looks pretty and I love the clothes.

  16. Now this is the Lara we loove! big upgrade from last time.
SHE LOOKS SO REFRESHING WITH THE NATURAL MAKEUP AND DARK HAIR. far frm the tacky highlighted hair and overglossy bwood brigade!

  17. as fab as miss Dutta looks, this does not do justice to her. Background looks more like I would see on some home improvement magazine

  18. Lara looks tired and old, if I may say so. Although I love that shade of blue, it just doesn’t go with the shimmer blouse. This one is a thumbs down for me.

  19. Looks like the photoshop was done in a hurry/or the hair stylist failed to show up.The hair could’ve been MUCHHHH better.
NTL good enuf for the louvly clothes.

  20. she looks great, it takes someone with a great body to be able to carry the cardigan, tucked into a skirt/belt look. do not care if her face is photos hopped. they do the same for the US covers all the time. this is an upscale casual look, so her hair and accessories are perfect.

  21. Why does Vogue feel that it has to make the already beautiful and likeable Lara ‘fair’ to make her accessible to Indian readers? Pretty shallow of them- either that or they must think that their readers are quite shallow. Whatever.
Either way- in their attempt to lighten her skin tone they have made her look ashy.

    • I agree with you. In the US all the fashion magazines carry Freida Pinto’s L’Oreal ad and her skin tone has not been lightened. In India, the photos of practically every bollywood actor and actress (including Ashwariya and Shilpa ShettY) are photo shopped to make them look “fair” If I were Ash I would be insulted.

      • I agree with the conscious marketing effort of making all women fair, but in actuality if you see the cover in hard print Lara’s skin is quite rich in colour. There’s something with the scanner that makes the above picture seem lighter than what it really is.

  22. I’m still undecided about the color combo on Lara. But love them as individual pieces. Her face is pretty different. Usually it’s more prettier. The bandage type shoes on the model are interesting.

  23. For me, the gold with ice blue is not working. Whoever dressed her forgot the rule of thumb that a ‘light works best with a dark’… hence the models wearing theirs in a combo of light n dark…apart from “combination” of the clothes (clothes are great on its own), Lara rocks !!!
