In Zara

Kriti kept it casual at Dabboo Ratnani’s 2016 calendar unveiling wearing a printed Zara dress with lace-up combat style boots. I quite liked the casual look but would’ve really liked to see a casual shoulder bag here instead of the phone in hand.

  1. She has no style. Ever since she made entry, she has been sporting these same type of shift dresses with sneakers or oxford shoes many times, which is so boring.

  2. Me like …
You can go all out for Red Carpets, fashion events and such, but our celebs have literally gone ape-shit crazy when it comes to the fashion scene. Borrowed ideas to begin with, and over-done to death and beyond.
I mean you know something’s wrong when someone needs a stylist to tell them what to wear to board a plane ! 🙂

I’d take this any day over the contrived ‘looks’, especially for casual outings/events.
    Could be just me though.

    • FYI she has been styled by Tanya Ghavri here, you can see that in the tagging. If she needs a stylist to wear this ‘such a boring/bland dress’, then her sense of style is questionable. I didn’t like it. Many regular Americans (not celebs) are 100 times better dressed casually (comfortably) than Kriti and many other Indian celebs featured here. This is a very unbiased comment. 😀

      • Having a sense of style is nothing to do with whether the person is Indian or American..its something that comes from within irrespective of where you’re based . And I really wonder why these celebs are so dependent on their respective stylists even for a casual outing like this !!

      • Hey.. you said she has no sense of style which is why I spoke only of her general style.. 🙂
That way we should be bashing her stylist for this look…

I just meant that I like she doesnt go wearing ball gowns to school functions or some OTT avant garde fashion statement to some screening 🙂 Its okay to dress normal and not use every event as your style guinea pig ..

That said, I totally agree this is meh, just that I’d take this rather than someone coming out in
some atrocity for something so casual… 🙂

        • Me saying ‘She has no style’ means, she looks sweet but she is not ‘stylish’. Being ‘stylish’ is something else. Not many people are unfortunately.

      • And totally agree that many non-celeb people, Indian or abroad dress up much more interesting in daily life..
I see fashion week worthy looks on the subway every day 🙂 and carried with much more confidence that almost any of our celebs, coz they aren’t ‘trying’

        • We see it everyday right!
Me in SFO and you in NYC see very fashionable people who are non celebs, dressed so well be it casual/glamorous/party/eveningwear/punk/rock/chic/formal and so on with so much effortless ease. Same way in India too. That I don’t see on many celebs who are featured here.

    • +1. I like her style, simple yet sophisticated & most importantly she never comes across as a wannabe. She looks pretty good in this outing.
