At an event promoting her latest movie, Kriti was photographed in a Rohit Bal anarkali. With flowers in her hair, she rounded out the look with matching jooties and silver jewelry. As much as we love ourselves a Rohit Bal sighting, just couldn’t warm up to that bodice. It just made the whole look seem so dated. This was bit of a miss!

Very Aishwarya in Guzaarish.
That’s exactly what I thought the moment I saw the picture!
That was my immediate thought!
I know what you mean, but just to clarify for those who may not know, “Ashwarya in Guzaarish” did not invent that look. It’s the costume and look of traditional Spanish dancers: black/red dress with flounce/frills, and pulled back hair with low roses at the side. Just because Rai played a Spanish dancer, does not mean it is “her” look. It is a costume that has been around for over a century, if not a lot longer.

I think, the look is a very well put together. The wispy hair do is adding lightness to the starkness of black.

Reminds me of Aishwarya in Guzaarish like already said by Rajini. However, dated or not, I really like this look on her. Kriti does have a wide smile.. i think less stark lip colours suit her better. A more orange based lip shade would have looked better here given the colours instead of the jhataak red.
Let her smile, jeez! Julia Roberts has been wearing bright lipsticks, smiling her wide smile, and winning us over for decades.
Knew somebody would say it.. anyway, my concern is more to do with the shade of her lipstick given the attire. Orange toned lipstick would look better in my opinion and last I checked, orange was a ‘bright’ colour.
Hmmmm. Looks incompetent may be? A dupatta might have completed this look.
As such it’s too bottom heavy and the mismatching black makes it look disconnected
