In Ankita
At a panel discussion about higher education in New Zealand, Kriti was seen wearing a teal chiffon dress by Ankita paired with cream ankle-strap sandals. Given the occasion, the outfit worked. It didn’t feel too filmy or too OTT.
Liked that she went low-key for the event?

Did anyone get a Kate Middleton vibe from this?
exactly my thoughts!!
I get having celebrities as chief guests is the new in thing, but why have one for a higher education panel discussion? Most have barely graduated from High School.
Right??! Considering there are so many women academic achievers! This is so bizarre !
Kriti is an engineer
From NZ?
She holds a engineering degree…so I guess she’s much better than many, in that respect..
Haha good point! Although Kriti is one of the few who has an engineering degree. Talking about the dress, yes it does have a Kate Middleton vibe, but she looks lovely.
If I am not wrong, Kriti has done her Bachelor of Engineering. She looks lovely!
True but admittedly, celebrities do bring exposure to the cause/event and to be fair, Kriti apparently has completed higher education.
She is an engineering graduate….not that she is an ideal candidate for the said panel…but maybe the discussion was about venturing into arts after pursuing education in unrelated fields…who knows
FYI ..
She attended Delhi Public School, RK Puram and completed her BTech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
next time please google things before posting a comment ..
Good to know!
You do know that the Bachelors Degree is worthless outside india.
Not worth much in india either, heard the university lost its affiliation / accreditation some time back.
I know…that too for New Zealand.Why?
This one’s got a BTech degree though.
ya but she has completed her BE degree
She looks lovely! I have an almost identical dress from Asos, which I got in 2011.
Yes I think this is very event appropriate… simple and nice
Its pretty cold in here and we r all covered head to toe. Wonder she pulled that off?
The event probbaly took place in India promoting NZ as an education destination.
Yes, it was held at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai
I agree that event organizers rope in any celebrity to bring in publicity, whether the celeb is appropriate for the event or cause.
However, in Kriti’s defense, she is a qualified engineer 🙂
NZ is not on the radar as an education destination. It is US, Europe and then Australia as is evident in the ranking of various universities from the USA. However, education industry in NZ is the third largest export earner, with earnings to the tune of 3 billion and they aim to make, 5 billion by 2025. The ranking of NZ universities are abysmally low but then most Indian students want the tag of having studied abroad. Most of the institutes have rather poor standards. So I guess they just have to resort to these stunts. Having said that it is a beautiful country to visit and come for holiday but definite no-no when it comes to education. I am in academia.
This is absolute BS. NZ is a country of 4 million so we have to keep that in mind when talking about these things. The top university in NZ (University of Auckland) is well regarded world over and ranks 82 in the world. While that is definitely not in the same league as Oxbridge and Ivy Leagues colleges I wouldn’t call it abysmally low. Having a university in the top 100 as a country of 4 million is amazing. In any case it is a lot higher than any Indian university so it is still worth targeting Indians.
India, Greece, and Iran have no Universities in the top 100, but produce excellent students, academics, and researchers. Unfortunately, rankings are based on research/citations/peer review, and most research in the world is conducted at grad and Phd level. These students who are really good, end up going abroad for the better facilities/money/mentors. For undergrad though, I would still consider top Universities in these countries to be better than those in New Zealand.
If I were a prospective student, having Kriti Sanon at an event for higher education would be my first red flag.
That said, she is looking very pretty and the teal chiffon is gorgeous (both my fav. color and material). She is so skinny and that makes her pull anything off!
Studying engineering degree doesn’t make you an engineer in India. It is worthless.
