Konkona suited up in Jewellyn Alvares while at a recent Awards event. I think she cut a striking picture on the red carpet; she looked good!
But that pleated ruffle detail on the back of the suit… It’s just not for me. I get a “statement suit” and the need to change it up and take risks, but the detail here just looked like it was tacked on as an after thought. Not a fan.

I think she looks great. I also feel that perhaps the suit with its back design quirk would have looked different if it was worn by a much taller person.

am also not feeling the two different fabrics used for the pants and the jacket. love the tailoring on the pants though — Konkona is petite and the fit is impeccable for her. good choice of footwear too.

The jacket and pants are so well cut, and fit so well. Especially serendipitous on a petite person like Konkona. It’s a pity about the back.
She carries herself so well that one does not really look at her clothes.
She looks 10/10 from the front. Holy smoking hot. The lace cami adds the needed amount of visual interest.
Then she turns and I see the wings sprouting from the back and the look goes down to a 0/10. There was no need to tamper with an already perfect look. What was the designer thinking?
