* Ikat (?) blouse that is well-fitted
* saree—inspite of the gold shade does not look loud and garish—has been draped reasonably well.
* simple jewellery
* make up and hair are fine
* no silly poses
PS: The saree does look like it could do well with some ironing but that’s just nitpicking.
Before you start the center pleats, you drape the left side to create that angle on the waist and the snug fit and then pin it. Then you start creating the center pleats that will cover the pins. There are some videos on youtube that show this. Search for sari drape with pins on youtube and there are a few videos.
Yes, most Tamil TV shows, movies and sightings have leading ladies wear their sarees like Konkona. Tamil Nadu seems to have perfect the art of draping, NO one boob show either anywhere
Mumbai celebrities are definitely sloppy in their drape.
I agree Konkona rocks the saree and the drape, the only thing I dislike is the “OSO” (one side open or the “OBO”
I wouldn’t go as far to say a perfect drape but the pinning helps to show off the curves. Everyone has their preference of drape. Some folks like the tight drape, some prefer relaxed.
Soooo beautiful! I also love the Konkana just does Konkana and never cares to follow the latest “trends”! The comfort she has in her clothes is actually because she’s superbly comfortable in her skin.
I want ANY of the usual B-town ladies to try a similar look, this could be stunning on anybody! But I know it will remain an unfulfilled dream.. le sigh 🙂
She looks gorgeous. Love her earrings and her hair in a plait. A simple but effective look. Why don’t more of our BW ladies dress like this at least once in a while?
Very pretty!
nothing to write home about — but in these days of OTT outrage expressed at the drop of a hat, that may be a good thing 🙂 she does look good tho.
WOW!! Simplicity at its best. Would love to see Aishwarya Rai in such similar earthy tones and fabrics!!
Such a beautiful look. I love it!
She looks nice and pretty as always…but where is the high fashion in this ?
Jesus, not everything has to be high fashion. Especially these days when there doesn’t seen to be much ‘high fashion’ in high fashion.
Her saree looks are a sight for sore eyes….She just rocks her saree looks!!
Do I love Konkona in this? Absolutely!

Simple and lovely
Isn’t she a sight for sore eyes <3
A little on the fence on the draping though – which is unexpected given its Konkona we're talking about
love this
How do you get that clean snug look on the leg (like in her left leg) while wearing saree?
I want to know this too! Someone knowledgeable, please enlighten

Chill! According to MY observation/opinion it is the perfect drape 🙂
Sloppy or deliberately drop their pallu to show their assets?
It’s how you stand. Feet apart a bit and then get your knees together.
She is oozing class in this. Other B-town ladies can take a few pointers. Love it!!
B-town thinks this is ordinary, homely and girl next door…. except Vidya B.
Love it…pallu drape could be slightly better but not a deal breaker. Love this shade of nuted gold!
It is a beautiful outfit. She looks really gorgeous!
WOW! I absolutely love this sari.
Lovely, as always!
Perfect… and she has not aged a day since her movie days

Love it head to toe!!
