Sari Style
For the success meet of her Bengali film, Konkona picked a black and white cotton sari, wearing it with silver earrings, a classic wristwatch and a cross-body bag. She looked lovely!

I wish she had taken just a little more care in styling this lovely saree…a printed/embroisred blouse, smaller purse or clutch, a stack of silver bangles or a statement cuff and a small bindi would have taken this look from activist chic to heavenly!
Agreed! She still looks good though.

I’m amazed at how she always looks so beautiful and radiant…
This is classic! perfect choice of saree for the Kolkata summers….so effortless!
Reminds me of Suchitra Sen from the movie ‘Aandhi’. Love the classic look.
Love her saree and not her cross body bag.
a very social worker vibe, not that there is anything wrong with that, but Im not sure that its a fashion sighting. there is nothing remarkable whatsoever about it.
+1. She looks nice but there is no Fashion in it.

Not caring how you look, or not caring to dress up your outfit is also part of your style. But in her care she does put in that thought to look good but not to make a statement. Its very evident that she loves herself in these earthy basic looks which is also a statement in itself. Like how those hippies at Woodstock, chilling in those ill fitted clothes and hand made jewellery, didn’t care how they looked but now its huge. It breaks my heart when curtain prints is fashionable to some only coz its designer and a beautiful handloom saree get written off.
PS- No offence to you ladies, I am sure you are super fancy but I have a soft corner for understated, budget fashion 🙂
She looks lovely, but needs to drop that cross-body bag stat!
