In Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor

At one of her movie’s promo events, Kiara was photographed in a Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor gharara. Wavy hair and jewelry from Amrapali rounded out the look. She makes it (the look) work for her.

  1. This is such a pretty dress.. loved the salwar. It’s so nice to see Kiara wearing something nice, normally she is made to wear weird clothes.

  2. It’s a bit OTT for me but I still like it!! Especially the colors! She’s done a great job in the movie, it’s her moment to shine through!

  3. I’m going to be subjected to a lot of hate here. I don’t like and understand the concept of gharara. The same suit with a different types of pants/bottoms would have probably looked better but the suit itself is not impressive. Halter neck party on the top and some traditional mixing going on in the bottom. No!

  4. I may be in a minority here but I am done with ‘wedding wear’ being used for promotional events and tv shows. Can the lehengas/ embellished heavy stuff stay in the occassionwear category? Particularly when the co stars aren’t wearing Sherwanis or kurtas alongside. All actresses seem to be going to a sangeet or wedding. There is so much designer wear which falls outside the occasion wear category. When does one wear that?

  5. I’m scratching my head. Why do the Kurti & Sharara not go together? It’s obviously an ensemble and very pretty separately. I like the Kurti’s neckline, work and colour.

Is it because the Kurti has a gota border and then the Sharara has that Gota line where it flares from so it doesn’t look like one piece? would it have helped if the Kurti was a bit longer?

I’ve never worn a Sharara so I hope someone who knows can explain what is the issue.
